Outdoor Jazz Concert at CAAC Seville: Elas E O Jazz
Elas e o Jazz pay tribute to the most famous vocal trio in jazz history: the Andrews Sisters. Mariana Norton, Joana Machado, and Marta Hugon recreate the unmistakable vocal harmonies of sisters Patty, Laverne, and Maxene, performing some of their greatest hits—songs that earned them the nickname “America’s Sweethearts” during World War II. The Andrews Sisters sold millions of records and remain an enduring reference, having influenced artists as diverse as The Supremes, Destiny’s Child, Christina Aguilera, Bette Midler, and The Manhattan Transfer.
This show brings their bold and vibrant vocal style into the present, inspired by the metallic timbre of the great jazz orchestras that defined radio and cinema in the 20th century. An unmissable evening for lovers of music and vocal harmonies.
