Nadir Afonso at Sociedade Nacional De Belas-Artes
Dedicated to the work of Nadir Afonso, one of the greatest names in 20th-century Portuguese painting. Curated by Alexandra Silvano, the exhibition brings together 94 original works, including paintings, drawings and studies, among them seven large canvases created in the last years of the artist's life.
With the City as its central theme, the exhibition explores the main periods of Nadir Afonso's career, revealing a body of work marked by geometric rigor, aesthetic reflection, and a constant search for order and balance. A unique opportunity to revisit the thought and relevance of one of the most important Portuguese creators.
