Summer Solstice Hike Thru Western SF
Let's get together for an easy hike through the west end of the city: LANDS END
We'll hike an easy 5+ mile path through Lands End, China Beach and Baker Beach. A favorite among locals and visitors, we'll pass the historic Sutro Baths, Mile Rock Beach, Fort Miley, Palace of the Legion of Honor Museum, a USS San Francisco Memorial, and more. This is the wildest, rockiest corner of San Francisco and offers cliff-top strolls through dark cypress and open grass with spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Pacific Ocean up and down the California coast!
LOGISTICS
Meeting point is at the Lands End Lookout off the Main parking lot. There is plenty of parking (but beware of weekend crowds) and also public transportation.
FOOD & DRINKS
Please BYO snacks or light lunch and water (at least 1L recommended).
OPTIONAL: Brunch/lunch at a local restaurant afterwards.
